This Privacy Policy explains how Direct Content Suppliers ("DCS", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you rent a vehicle from us, submit a rental application, or communicate with us — including by text message (SMS). By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Data Collection

We collect the following categories of information:

• Contact information — your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address, provided when you submit a rental application or communicate with us.
• Identity and driver information — your date of birth, driver's license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and a photo of your driver's license, used to verify your identity and eligibility to rent a vehicle.
• Rental and payment information — rental dates, vehicle selection, coverage choices, and payment details. Payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
• Vehicle telemetry — rental vehicles may be equipped with GPS tracking devices that record vehicle location during the rental period for fleet security and recovery purposes.
• Communications — the content of messages you exchange with us, including SMS conversations.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To process rental applications, screen drivers, and manage active rentals.
• To process payments and prevent fraud.
• To communicate with you about your rental (see SMS Usage below).
• To protect our vehicles, including locating them if lost, stolen, or overdue.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rental agreements.

3. SMS / Text Message Usage

When you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages, DCS may send you SMS messages related to your rental, including:

• Rental confirmations and trip start notifications
• Mid-trip check-ins
• Return reminders and late-return notices
• Post-trip follow-ups
• Responses to messages you send us

Message frequency varies based on your rental activity. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of renting a vehicle.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

4. Opt-Out Instructions

• To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message from us at any time. You will receive a final confirmation message, after which no further texts will be sent to your number.
• For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us using the details in the Contact section below.
• Opting out of text messages does not affect your rental agreement. We may still contact you by phone or email about your active rental when necessary.

5. Data Protection

• All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in access controlled databases.
• Access to personal information is limited to authorized staff who need it to operate the rental business.
• Payment card processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.
• Uploaded documents (such as driver's license photos) are stored in private storage accessible only through authenticated requests.
• We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal and accounting requirements, and to resolve disputes.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us operate (payment processing, SMS delivery, GPS tracking), bound to use it only on our behalf.
• Law enforcement or government authorities when required by law, or to recover stolen vehicles.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
